Book Review: Darkness United by K.C. Luck
A long finale
I genuinely loved books 1 and 2 of this series. Book 3 was really hard for me to get through. It felt too long. And by this point, there were already too many characters to be vested in. The addition of more characters left me exhausted trying to keep up.
It was written well. I felt that the story naturally went in a conceivable direction. I did laugh a bit how prevalent insta families are in this series.
The epilogue is twenty years later. That felt jarring for some reason. And we didn’t see what happened to some of the characters. So was left feeling it was abrupt and unsatisfying.
Overall, I recommend reading the series. 1 and 2 were really good. And 3, while not as good as the others, provides the ending for closure.
