Book Review: Never The Bride by Natasha West

Too many weddings

The concept of the story wasn’t bad and I was entertained. This felt like a rom com movie of sorts. I got a little bored with the constant wedding backdrop. I know that was the whole point, but it just fell a little flat for me.

The side characters were unique and added some comic relief.

I just didn’t get the lead character. She was too self loathing. No idea what the appeal was for Georgie. She proved to be a mess repeatedly. Maybe the writer should have tied in her vet profession as reason she was going for sick and wounded Nikki.

Still, it was good enough to continue reading.

But the book needs an edit. There is a very different meaning between ‘bought’ and ‘brought’. I thought Georgie had hired an escort to accompany her to that last wedding. The mistake happened twice more. So in my mind, Louise the vet, got paid.
