Book Review: Not The Marrying Kind by Jae
I hadn’t realized that this was a secondary book to ‘Perfect Rhythm.’ No worries, you do not need to have read that book to enjoy this one.

Why are so many books reminding me of the movie ‘Men in Black’ recently? Ava is the personal assistant to high maintenance actress, Gwen, who is 20 years her senior. But Ava has a big secret. She is an alien superhero. She also has a big fat crush on her boss.
Love yourself. You can’t accept love if you don’t love yourself. Rachel is a young woman who is a recovering anorexic. She works to ensure she gets all the right nutrients post rehab and therapy.
Fallback Friday. DNF. Could not get into this. It felt a bit spastic. I was feeling like I was left out of the joke. Too many characters to keep up with. Too many religious references that I didn’t understand.
Do you want to play a game? So, this was pretty much an entirely smutty book. Sure, there was a story. But still.
Love of heart over love of body This was quite an emotional journey. Usually I grow bored with excessive description to paint the settings, characters, etc. This didn’t have those. The author built this world and these people that were so rich and deep through scenes and dialogue. I was completely engrossed.
This was a great finale to the Soho Loft series. These books were very enjoyable to read. Each one had genuine romance, intriguing side stories, interesting secondary characters, and made me feel things.
I’m seriously reconsidering this Fallback Friday idea. If the old books are all like this one, I don’t think I’ll be able to handle it. This book was a flat out mess. I’m sitting here so angry after reading it. I did not like Molly Bolt. Not even a little bit.
Good second installment A lot of people mentioned this being the least favorite in the series. I really enjoyed it. So that gives me positive thoughts for book 3.
So good I’m definitely late to this party. What a beautiful story of learning to accept love.
