This was a solid whodunit copper novel. I never would have guessed how the story revealed itself in the end. DCI, Helen Taylor, has to figure out why there are a sudden rash of fires in their little town of Warren. She has to work with a new transfer,Kate Wolfe, who has a mind of […]
‘Listen’ is a gratifying romance that hits the right notes. Lily is a former child prodigy that has lived a life of anonymity since a breakdown ended her music career. She is working in finance and risk management. Only she didn’t forecast the critical impact of hearing a beautiful melody drifting out of a window […]
This is a light, medical themed, enemies to lovers story. Veronica is a general surgeon at St. Sophia hospital. She shares a son with her ex wife. Cassie, an army medic, rides a gurney into the hospital, disrupting Veronica’s life.
This is an extremely slow paced love story between Ollie Williams and Ana Rose. One that I carefully digested at the pace the author set forth and loved every second of. You really have to be ready to just take your time with this story.
Shouldn’t have been THAT complicated. I just have to say right off that I was totally into this book. It was hard to get into at first because I’m not used to whatever ghetto latina language that was going on within the Torres family and friends.
‘Unexpected Lightning’ is the 3rd book in the ‘Lightning’ series. I did not read the first two prior to this one and there was no need to. The author successfully referenced previous things with enough explanation to understand what was going on. So this can be read as a standalone.
‘Charm City’ is a quirky Valentine’s romance with heart. Carson is manager of a bar that is not doing well financially. The owner enlists the support of an event planner, Taylor, to hold a series of Valentine’s related events to help drum up more business.
I don’t know how to feel about this book. It started out so depressing that I didn’t think I could get through it. Then I was intrigued with where the story unexpectedly went. It began to drag a bit. I started speed reading until the last chapter. Those last pages gave me major anxiety. And […]
I wanted to love this as much as everyone else. One of the reviews likened this to ‘Letters Never Sent’ which is one of my favorites. This just wasn’t it for me.
